This delightful turn of the century house, the home of eminent pianist and teacher Harold Craxton, his wife Essie and their daughter the distinguished oboist Janet Craxton, provides a comfortable and welcoming venue for classical musicians from all over the world.
Ideal for classical and jazz rehearsals and recordings. Unsurpassed for auditions & workshops. Superb for TV, film and photoshoots.
Equipment
Main Studio: A 33ft x 23ft double-height, wood-panelled room with balcony and sprung maple floor opening onto a quiet, secluded garden. It is equipped with a Bl?thner concert grand piano, and is suitable for up to 22 orchestral players or 40 choir. Second Studio: An 18ft x 12ft 2nd floor room with french windows opening onto a balcony, equipped with a Steinway grand piano and suitable for up to 4 orchestral players. It is also used as the warm-up room for Auditions. Facilities: Waiting/Refreshment Room. Music stands & conductors' stands. On-street car parking: Pay & Display Mon-Fri 12.30-2.30 only. Free at all other times. Variety of eateries locally. Free Wifi. Snacks and refreshments.
